A Manufacturer in China Achieving Fully Independent Production of Stainless Steel Ice Baths and Chillers
As ice baths continue to gain popularity in the global market, stainless steel ice bath products are emerging in large numbers. However, there are still significant differences in product quality on the market, such as rough welding processes, unreasonable structural designs, and even the use of substandard materials. At the same time, the continuous rise in the price of metal raw materials has also placed higher demands on product quality and stable supply.
At COLDCHILLER, our products target a global high-end customer base, including fitness centers, rehabilitation facilities, upscale families, and professional sports teams. They not only value the user experience but also have stricter standards for product quality, stability, and delivery time.
Therefore, we have taken control of the key metal manufacturing process. From the manufacturing of the stainless steel ice bath tubs to the research and development and assembly of the refrigeration system, the core production processes are all completed by our professional team, and we have gradually established a stable and reliable independent production system.
Meeting the Growing Global Demand
As market demand continues to grow, in order to better serve our global customers, we need not only greater production capacity but also a stable and sustainable supply.
After building our own hardware workshop, we are able to flexibly adjust the production rhythm according to order requirements, optimize production plans, effectively shorten delivery cycles, improve delivery stability, and provide more reliable support to partners from all over the world.
From External Suppliers to Complete Self-Control
One-Stop Internal Management: With the hardware workshop officially put into use, we have taken an important step in our production system. From steel plate procurement to laser cutting, hydraulic bending, welding, assembly, and fine grinding, every processing step is completed by our professional production team. One-stop internal management makes the production chain more efficient, transparent, and traceable.
Reduce Production Risks: We insist on using high-quality steel—high-purity 304/316 stainless steel with very few impurities—to ensure stronger corrosion resistance and a longer service life. We also monitor raw material market price trends in real time and flexibly plan our procurement schedule, effectively reducing the risk of production cost fluctuations while ensuring material quality.
More importantly, internalizing the production process means stricter product quality control, standardized processing procedures, and higher structural precision, achieving a true quality upgrade.
What Production Capacity Does Our Hardware Workshop Have?
The brand-new hardware workshop not only expands our COLDCHILLER production area but also introduces technology and equipment and upgrades the production structure.
Laser Cutting and Precision Forming
Laser Cutting: By introducing high-precision laser cutting equipment and incorporating a template process, we can achieve millimeter-level error control.

Bending Process: Then, CNC bending equipment is used to precisely control the angle and dimensions for hydraulic bending.
Whether it’s the inner structure of the cold plunge tub or the metal frame of the sauna stove, this ensures smooth edges, precise dimensions, and seamless assembly. This lays a solid foundation for subsequent hydraulic and welding assembly.

Professional Welding and Structural Assembly
Double-Layer Welding Process: Stainless steel materials, after laser cutting and bending, are spliced together and welded along the joints using pollution-free welding rods to form a stable barrel-shaped or curved structure. For example, the main body of the cold plunge tub and its bottom connection utilize a double-layer welding process to achieve maximum sealing and pressure resistance. Our in-house welding allows us to strictly control every detail of the product. This avoids the problems associated with the common single-layer welding process in the market, reducing issues such as weld blackening and residual impurities, thereby minimizing the potential for weld leakage.

During the welding process, the protective film on the surface effectively prevents scratches from processing, ensuring the product’s appearance and structural quality.
An inspection process is also implemented for internal welding to ensure that each welding process is strong, smooth, and free from leakage risks.
Reinforced Steel Support Structure: Our patented design reinforces the internal structure, using integrated steel support bars at the bottom of the cold plunge tub to improve compression and impact resistance.
Surface Treatment and Polishing
Weld Grinding and Surface Treatment: After welding, all weld areas undergo fine grinding to remove weld points, oxide layers, and uneven surfaces, ensuring a smooth and natural transition between the weld and the stainless steel surface. This enhances the product’s aesthetics and also helps reduce the possibility of dirt accumulating during later use.

Brushed Surface Treatment: Some products also undergo a brushed surface treatment, which creates a uniform and delicate metallic texture on the stainless steel surface, not only enhancing the overall texture but also effectively reducing scratches and fingerprints during daily use.
Multiple Polishing Processes: After grinding, the entire tub undergoes a series of polishing processes for final finishing. From coarse polishing to fine polishing, the surface smoothness is gradually improved, making the stainless steel surface more uniform and delicate. The polished stainless steel surface not only has a better visual effect but also enhances corrosion resistance, making daily cleaning and maintenance easier.

Apply Rust-Preventive Protective Oil: After quality inspection, we will apply a layer of special anti-rust protective oil to the stainless steel surface. This forms a protective film during transportation and storage, effectively preventing the effects of fingerprint residue, moisture, and air oxidation on the metal surface, ensuring that the product remains in good condition when delivered to the customer.

Upgrade Our Sauna and Ice Bath Products
With the establishment of the hardware workshop and the upgrading of manufacturing capabilities, these advantages are further reflected in product structure, durability, and design capabilities.
More Robust and Durable Sauna Stove
Sauna stoves operate in high-temperature and high-humidity environments for extended periods, placing extremely high demands on material quality and structural stability. By building our own hardware workshop, we can control the entire process from metal plate selection to welding and forming, optimize the sauna stove’s structural design, strengthen the frame’s load-bearing capacity, improve stability, and extend its service life.
During the manufacturing process of the sauna stove, the stove body is structurally assembled using precision cutting, hydraulic bending, and argon arc welding, resulting in strong and reliable welds. After grinding and surface treatment, the stove body possesses both excellent durability and superior corrosion resistance. Standardized manufacturing processes significantly improve the safety of the sauna stove, while the precision structure enhances the load-bearing capacity of the sauna stones and optimizes heat distribution for more even and efficient heating.
Higher Quality Stainless Steel Ice Bath
Cold plunge tubs have high requirements for sealing, structural stability, and surface finish. Leveraging our in-house stainless steel processing capabilities, we can implement stricter quality control in key areas such as bathtub forming, welding, and surface treatment.
During the manufacturing process of cold plunge tubs, stainless steel is precisely bent and shaped, then structurally connected using high-standard welding. After welding, the weld seams are finely ground to make the overall structure more compact, while ensuring good sealing and strength. Depending on different product requirements, surface treatments such as wire drawing or polishing can also be applied to improve the stainless steel cold plunge tub’s corrosion resistance, ease of cleaning, and aesthetic appearance.

Greater Design Flexibility
Having our own stainless steel processing capabilities means we have greater flexibility in product design. Compared to relying on external processing plants, we can quickly adjust structures, optimize dimensions, and produce prototypes during the R&D phase.
Whether it’s sauna stoves of different sizes, custom-structured cold plunge tubs, or specially shaped stainless steel components, all can be sampled and produced in our in-house workshop. This close integration of design and manufacturing significantly shortens product production cycles, enables greater customization, and provides customers with more product choices.
